A Redesign UI/UX By Combining Design Thinking And Lean UX Methods In The M-Pajak Application

Abstract

This study aims to redesign the UI/UX of the M-Pajak mobile application by integrating Design Thinking and Lean UX to improve clarity, completeness, and user acceptance. The problem was identified from user complaints regarding login and registration flows, password recovery, tax reporting, profile editing, EFIN input, guide availability, KPP search, and application stability. A mixed-methods approach was applied through user review observation, literature study, structured interviews with ten M-Pajak users, high-fidelity prototype development in Figma, internal experiments, and System Usability Scale testing with 100 respondents. The stages consisted of empathize, define, ideate, prototype, create an MVP, run an experiment, and test. The redesigned information architecture and prototype covered eleven main pages: login, registration, password recovery, home, tax reporting, tax payment, calculator, guide, EFIN, tax chat, and profile. The main design improvements include clearer navigation, 16-digit NPWP input support, integrated tax reporting, user guidance, profile editing, and location-based KPP search. The prototype achieved an average SUS score of 85.025, classified as Grade A, indicating that the proposed redesign is acceptable and has very good usability.Add Contributor
